Terms & conditions
The rules for using YayChez. Last updated May 2026.
By creating an account or browsing YayChez you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English so you actually have a chance of reading them.
1. The service
YayChez is a marketplace that helps buyers in Pakistan discover local shops, chat with sellers, and place inquiries. We provide the platform — the actual goods or services are sold by the shops themselves.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 to use the buyer experience.
- You must be at least 18 to open a seller account and you must have the legal capacity to sell the goods or services you list.
- Sellers operating registered businesses must list their true business name and (if applicable) NTN / STRN during KYC.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity from sessions you authorise.
- Use accurate, current information. Impersonating another person or business will get you banned and may be reported.
- You can close your account from
/settings → security. Open inquiries and reviews remain visible to their counterparties.
4. Listings & content
- Don't post anything illegal in Pakistan — weapons, narcotics, counterfeits, stolen goods, sexually explicit material, hate speech, or content infringing someone else's rights.
- List items you actually intend to sell at a price you actually intend to honour. “Bait” pricing, fake stock, or off-platform redirection are all grounds for suspension.
- You keep ownership of the photos and copy you upload, but you grant YayChez a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and resize them so we can run the platform.
- We may moderate, demote, or remove content that breaks these rules — we'll tell you why and you can appeal from
/seller/messages.
5. Buying & selling
- YayChez is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We help you find each other, exchange messages, and record an inquiry; the contract for the sale itself is between you.
- Sellers must honour the price and stock shown when an inquiry is created, except where a clear typo or regulatory change applies.
- Buyers must arrange payment and pickup / delivery directly with the shop in the manner agreed in chat.
- Disputes should first be resolved between buyer and seller; if they can't, our support team can help mediate but cannot force refunds.
6. Chat & off-platform contact
- Keep the conversation on YayChez until the inquiry is closed — it's how our safety, dispute, and review systems work. Off-platform redirection is grounds for suspension.
- We screen messages for PII and high-risk patterns. A flag does not block the message, but repeated flags affect a shop's trust score.
7. Reviews
- Only buyers who have a closed inquiry with a shop can review that shop.
- Be honest. Fake reviews — whether written by the seller, friends, or paid services — will be removed and may lead to a ban.
- Sellers may respond once per review and may flag reviews that violate our content rules.
8. Paid features & promotions
Free plans are available for all sellers. Paid plans — Growth, Pro — unlock additional listings, snaps, and featured placements. Plan pricing, billing cycles, refunds for unused time, and downgrade behaviour are described on /pricing and at the point of purchase. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.
9. Intellectual property
The YayChez name, logo, app code, and editorial content are owned by us. You may not copy, scrape, or build derivative apps without written permission. Reporting an IP violation on the platform: mail support@yaychez.pk with the listing URL and proof of right.
10. Suspension & termination
We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules, misuse the platform, or expose other users to harm. We try to act proportionately and explain the reason. You can appeal to support@yaychez.pk within 14 days.
11. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law YayChez is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits — arising from a transaction with a shop. Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid YayChez (not the shop) in the 12 months before the claim, or PKR 5,000, whichever is greater.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Lahore unless mandatory consumer-protection laws give you additional venues.
13. Changes to these terms
We'll post a notice in-app and re-stamp the “Last updated” date when the substance changes. Continuing to use YayChez after a material change means you accept it; you can always close your account if you don't.
Write to support@yaychez.pk. We respond within 14 days.
